Demineralisation is the process of removing all the dissolved substances ( Cations & Anions ) from water. In demineralisation, the cation resins release Hydrogen (H+) Ions in exchange for positively charged cations such as calcium, magnesium and sodium. anion resins release Hydroxyl (OH-) Ions in exchange for negatively charged Anions such as Chloride, Sulphate and Bicarbonate. The displace H+ and OH- combine to form H20.

AQUOION series dual bed deionisation system will match your water requirements using simple, time proven cation and anion ion exchange resin technology. these compact systems can produce high quality water with the lowest water usage for lower TDS waters and/or where treated water demand is highly variable. Aquoion industrial two-bed deionisers are available as standard pre-engineered units which can be customised to meet a wide range of individual customer requirements.

Variety of Standard Sizes

Ranging in flow rate between 1000 and 25000 litres/hr, the Aquoion Series two bed deionisers are highly efficient means of removing dissolved solids from water. Regeneration of the system is initiated by conductivity, time, and/or totalised flow. The deionisers can be supplied in combination with a full range of options and related equipment to provide a fully integrated water purification system.Very pure water is required in many industrial applications and processes. Aquoion series of pre-assembled systems aid in the production of a continuous supply of high purity deionised water.

  • PVC I FRP columns, charged separately with high exchange capacity cation & anion resin.
  • Analog I Digital conductivity meter with alarm -to monitor the quality of treated water.

Commercial Three Bed Demineraliser

  • One PVC I FPR column charged with Cation & Anion resin in mixed form employed after anion bed for further purification.

Mixed Bed Demineraliser

AQUOION MB produces water of high quality conforming to IP specification for pure water. Ultrapure water is produced on demand at negligible cost. The mixed bed system produces higher quality water, but with a lower total capacity than that of two bed systems. Hence, the mixed bed deioniser is generally used after two bed deioniser as a polishing unit to obtain treated water of high purity, as well as more output capacity with neutral * pH

  • The column charged with a mixture of high exchange capacity Cation & Anion resin.
  • Analog I Digital conductivity meter with alarm to monitor the quality of treated water
  • A set of Poly Propylene diaphragm I ball valves for easy operation & regeneration.

Note: Water with TDS > 100 ppm has to be treated with two bed demineraliser before passing through mixed bed demineraliser

RODM Ultrapure Demineraliser

AQUOION RODM is designed to cater to Electronic Industries and Research Institutions to produce ultra pure demineralised water of resistivity of upto 15 megohms.

Processing: The feed water is fed through a 05-micron cartridge system for the removal of suspended impurities, and then passed through a UV (ultra violet) lamp for disinfection. It is then pressurised through an RO membrane for the removal of dissolved ions by upto 95% and this permeated water is stored in a HDPE reservoir. The RO treated water is then re-circulated through a line of multiple mixed bed demineralisation cartridges for further purification and achieve the required resistivity. The water treated through the MB resin cartridges is stored in a final HDPE reservoir. There the water is re-circulated through 0.2 micron filtration and collected. Processing & storage is automated. Hence, the treated water is made available on demand.

Electrodeioniser (EDI)

EDI products are used worldwide in ultra pure water systems in a diverse range of applications in industries, including pharmaceutical, semiconductor, power generation and laboratory pure water systems.
Electrodeionisation (EDI) is a process in which an electric field is used to remove ions and polar species from an aqueous stream. EDI is used with reverse osmosis to replace ion exchange resin-mixed beds, which require onsite or offsite chemical regeneration.By eliminating resin regenerating chemicals, EDI delivers significant economic and environmental benefits. EDI’s continuous process improves water quality by reducing water quality spikes and upsets.

Economical and efficient, Aquoion Dual Bed Deionisation Systems can be equipped for semi-automatic or full-automatic operation. Regardless of the configuration, only limited technical expertise is required for operation. Aquoion Dual Bed Deionisation Systems will integrate into a complete water treatment system without expensive custom field engineering and programming.
